“Lux Toilet Flakes
…Spread the Word

Sunday, February 26th finds us one week away from Hollywood’s seasonal flaunt—Oscar Night! The Speakeasy will be celebrating with some vintage winners when Fake Radio presents tantalizing scenes from Academy Award winning classic films, as they were once heard on the radio. All ages are welcome.
The evening’s Bookmark artist is Los Angeles-based writer and painter Jolene Siana.
Cookies and lemonade will be served, she said, winking…(the Librarian’s secret cocktail will evoke historic Hollywood and will be appropriately glamorous). Feel free to dress to the nines, descend our red stair, and set your dial to Smart Gals.

Password is “Lux Toilet Flakes.”

Why socialize on a Sunday? Because mingling is good for your mental health.

Jolene Siana

Jolene Siana is the author of Go Ask Ogre: Letters from a Deathrock Cutter (2005, Process Media). She is an advocate for raising awareness of self-injury and healing through art and writing. Fake Radio’s critically acclaimed readings offer verbatim performances of authentic radio broadcast scripts including the original advertisements and sound effects. Recent works include All About Eve and the Third Man. For the Speakeasy, they will focus their wits and wiles on select scenes from Academy Award winning classic films.
