MATERIALS
& APPLICATIONS, with MOHAMED SHARIF
&
live musical guest, THE DANBURY SHAKES
…Spread the Word
Sunday, March 26th, join Jenna Didier and Oliver Hess of
Materials & Applications (M&A), a research center for experimental
architecture, design and art in Los Angeles, recently featured in Dwell
magazine. M&A will open its next installation “Here There Be
Monsters” on the 15th of March, and will present an in-depth discussion
of this exhibit and their previous work at the March Speakeasy. The radical
transformation of M&A’s outdoor exhibit space for “Here
There Be Monsters” will involve flooding the entire courtyard with
water and creating a unique and subtly responsive environment, spanned
by a hyperboloid-shaped bamboo foot bridge that resembles a fraying warped
tube.
The evening’s featured artist is designer Mohamed Sharif of Koning
Eizenberg Architecture. Live musical guest is the newly formed Danbury
Shakes.
Shh…the secret cocktail will feature lime, whiskey and…water.
A Pick-Up-Sticks competition is also promised.

Water, water every where
Nor any drop to drink”
