Sunday, February
27th
8:00pm
Bust out those ball gowns, slip into that bow
tie, and treat yourself to L.A.’s sexiest,
literally underground, Oscar alternative, The Speakeasy. Since “the
industry” is all about dominance and submission,
we offer you Toni Bentley, author
of the scintillating, scandalously popular erotic
memoir, The Surrender (Regan Books/Harper
Collins), named a Best Book of 2004 by Publishers
Weekly and one of the 100 Notable Books of
the year by The New York Times. “Arousing,
fascinating and beautifully written, Toni
Bentley’sThe Surrender is
a unique testimonial to one woman’s passion
and intellect. Think The Story of O with
a high IQ and a sense of humor. Destined
for controversy, The Surrender will serve
as a Rorschach for everyone who reads it—some
will be shocked, some delighted, but no one will
be left unmoved. Toni Bentley is
shameless, brazen and hot.” –Jerry
Stahl (author of Permanent Midnight, and I,
Fatty)
The featured artist for the evening
is Julien Fevre, whose work may be viewed at www.dviantfilms.com/art/art-index.html
