Sunday, July 25th 8:00pm

Shimmy down to the Speakeasy this Sunday for an evening of Middle Eastern dance brought to you by Melissa (see below). Lest you think this is but a bawdy indulgence in the finer points of adorned bodies and swirling veils, may we remind you that there will be an intellectual component to the night as well (so do brush up on your belly dance history). We'll be swirling up a brand new intoxicant for the occasion "Aladdin's Liquid Lamp". The password is "habibi".

Melissa has studied and performed various styles of Middle Eastern dance since 1994, including bellydance (various styles including tribal and cabaret), Arabic regional folkloric, East Indian, and Persian Classical dance. She considers dancing her favorite form of creative and spiritual expression. Melissa is also a Reiki Master Teacher www.pinkgypsy.com. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dramatic Art from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Melissa has a website under construction, it's not up yet but it will be: www.mellydance.com

Parizad:  born of a Fairie, born of an Angel.  Which will she be?  A shape-shifting spirit that tempts and torments men or a light to spiritual seekers.  Explore the duality.  Dance brings integration to opposition.

Prince Andrew:
The swirl and color of his cape as it whips around him, the flash of his sabre balanced upon his head, the cacophony of rhythmic tones from his finger cymbals, sultry undulations of torso and the blur of vibrating hips ...experience the enigmatic Prince Andrew and his inspired celebration of dances from Eastern climes.

LotusFlower says,"The beautiful costumes, sensuality and artistry of belly dance is what brought me to the dance. The dance has always been a release for me and it's a way to express my sensuality, creative side and of course the Goddess part in a positive way. Also when I'm dancing, I love to see the smile on people's faces. This brings me happiness where I know that person is enjoying the dance" www.lotusflowerdance.com/
