After spending 3 years making her documentary on LA’s premiere burlesque troupe, THE VELVET HAMMER BURLESQUE, it was no wonder that she decided to pick up the mantle held by her grandmother, Philadelphia burlesque dancer, Penny Starr. Or, as Augusta puts it “You can only live with the circus for so long before you want to join!” Last year, on the one year anniversary of her debut, Penny Starr Jr. took First Runner-Up at the 2004 Miss Exotic World Comeptition.
